The developed fisheries vulnerability assessment tool paper was published in the Fisheries Research Journal, Elsevier last 14 August 2014 with the title, “Development and application of the fisheries vulnerability assessment tool (Fish Vool) to tuna and sardine sectors in the Philippines”. Moreover, the traditional knowledge paper (under the 3rd component of the Phase 1) was also published early this year entitled, “Adaptive Strategies in Coping with Climate Variability: Experiences of Philippine Traditional Indigenous Fishers” in the annual publication of SEAFDEC, Fish for the People. The Fish Vool paper was also showcased in two prestigious conferences in the country, the 3rd National Climate Conference in Trader’s Hotel, Manila, organized by National Academy of Science and Technology – Philippines (NAST-PHL) on 25 September 2014, and the 1st International Scientific Conference on Fisheries and Aquatic Science in Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City, organized by University of the Philippines – Visayas, and SEAFDEC on 22-23 October 2014. Moreover, the initiative of DA-Systems Wide Climate Change Office to develop an organized team from different bureaus and agencies under it, Director Asis designated Dr. Mudjekeewis D. Santos to be an official BFAR-AMIA (Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture) focal person. With this, we requested, through director Asis, BFAR AMIA focal persons from the regional offices, and so far we have 9 regions that replied.
